I had these questions about faith come to me recently… 1″You think that God cares about the world’s suffering (i.e. Japan, Iraq/Afghanistan) and yet He still cares about you…your career, place of residence, life. Why do you feel that you are important enough for him to care about you the same way he cares about the [...]

is capitalism Biblical, or are we just socialists?
So first off, I apologize to all my readers…all three of you… I haven’t posted anything recently. Rest assured that this isn’t because I am not learning anything new. This phenomenon is because I have spent the past few months over blogging in general. I also have been trying to journal more, it is a practice I [...]

God Judging Haiti, Pat Robertson, and a Conculsion…
So I have been really disturbed by Pat Robertson’s recent talk about why Haiti had the earthquake. He seemed to be telling the world that because Haiti is the voodoo capital of the world that they brought this upon themselves, and this is God’s Judgement. You see it here I have a few things to say about [...]

Las Vegas Mission Trip… a few thoughts
I just got back from my first “mission” trip inside the states. It was great, very stretching for me. In a lot of ways its very easy to build someone a house, or a church, it is very hard to talk to people about Jesus.

Stockton most miserable city….
From here…. Stockton was ground zero for the housing boom and now the subsequent bust. Home prices more than tripled between 1998 and 2005 and then came crashing down last year. Stockton had the country’s highest foreclosure rate last year at 9.5%, according to RealtyTrac, an online marketer of foreclosed property. Things are not looking [...]

World Hunger reaches 1,000,000,000
From Here, The food crisis has pushed the number of hungry people in the world to almost 1bn, in what the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation described on Tuesday as a “serious setback” to global efforts to reduce mass starvation. “The ongoing financial and economic crisis could tip even more people into hunger and [...]
