So about two weeks ago Stockton PD along with Caltrans posted eviction notices about illegal camping along Mormon slough. Here is where they got kicked out from
It pains me, why oh Stockton oh why? Why would you kick people out where are they supposed to go? The shelters are beat and overrun, the streets are dangerous, and with a city with one of the highest foreclosures and unemployment rate what do you expect? At least Sacramento is trying! But Stockton do you care? What are you doing to help those that are hurting. You do not even have to do anything, but don’t kick them out!Don’t make it illegal to be homeless, what are they supposed to do?
I suggested to my friends who live down there that we should camp in the park in brook side, see how the people in power feel when it comes home!
Also what about the port? Is there not enough room to have a tent city there? Stockton Shame on you, and shame on us.
I encourage you to contact the women who calls the shots counsel women Eggman. eggman_interns@yahoo.com tell her that you want Stockton to quit persecuting the homeless and open up a tent city.
